Before you go on a vacation it is best to photo copy all important documents, like passport, itinery, travel insurance etc.

Give them to someone who can be a point of contact in an emergency.

That way if you face an unfortunate event you can contact someone who will be able to provide you with valuable information in a timely manner.

Fingers crossed you'll never need them, but best to be prepared.
