family trip to Peru

Hi we are traveling in 2 weeks to peru south america. It's the first time we will travel with our 12 month little one and we are just wondering what airline would be the best considering the journey is really long and we dont want to make this expected trip into nightmare..if u have any idea or experience that u can share with us, we would be glad to hear from u, it will definetely be useful...many thanks
