Fort Lauderdale is a popular beach destination for families in the Florida region. In fact ‘Florida Beaches Guide’ rated it in the top 10 – Best Florida Family Beaches.

The city of Fort Lauderdale itself has more than seven miles of beaches that are in pristine condition. It is famous for its ‘wavewall’ (simply a piece of art, a wall that curves its way along the beach) and ‘beachfront promenade’.

There is plenty more to do than just play at the beach, there are loads of shops, restaurants and cafes, for those that prefer a little relaxation, wining and dining and people watching!

The beach itself is supervised for two miles by the Ocean Rescue team which is always reassuring for parents. This includes a number of lifeguarded towers.
