There are a range of games for the Nintendo DS, including action, music and educational games. In fact there is something here for kids of all ages, with toddler specific games right through to entertainment for older kids and adults.
The Nintendo DS is a great option for the traveling family as it is small, In our Nintendo DS Review we found them to be light weight and therefore portable. It is up to date with the latest technology with touch screen and voice recognition.

Nintendo DS Review : Campatibility
The Nintendo DS has a backwards compatibility with the Nintendo Game Boy Advance cartridges. This means that if you own a Nintendo Game Boy, all that money spent on games doesn’t go to waste. Plus it also means the kids can continue to play those timeless favorites.
With benefits like that, how can we not give a positive Nintendo DS Review. There are plenty of accessories available for the Nintendo DS. The Rumble Pak is an expansion slot accessory and vibrates to reflect the action in certain games.
There is an official Nintendo DS Headset, which plugs into the handheld console. It features an earphone and microphone and is compatible with all games that feature the internal microphone.
Since the release of the Nintendo DS there has been a second release of the Nintendo DS Lite. It is slimmer, more lightweight in design.
A few of the buttons have been moved around to prevent hand cramping and ensure easier use.
However all in all it really is the same as the Nintendo DS, offering all the same features, except it now has a number of different levels of brightness in the screen.
And further to this you can also look at the Nintendo DSi. It is thinner again and has larger screens. It’s Game Boy Advanced slot has been replaced with an SD card slot, and the DSi has two cameras, both 3.0 megapixels.
The DSi has greater memory which is to be expected, and whilst your Nintendo DS games are compatible with this hand held console you can purchase DSi specific games.
This is a great console for kids of all ages!
