Seattle Accommodation

Seattle kids - What fun can kids and families alike have in Seattle?

Seattle is a popular and famous city amongst adults, but there is certainly plenty to do with kids.

Below we have listed some of the popular tourist attractions for families heading to this fun filled city.

In the center of Seattle you’ll find fun attractions such as Space Needle, which is not only a tourist attraction but a restaurant too. The restaurant is revolving which will be quite a novelty. Speed up the superfast elevator and check out the wonderful views of the city.

Space Needle is located at 219 Fourth Avenue, N Seattle 98109 (not that you’ll miss it!)

Then there are the museums. There is one dedicated to kids. The Seattle Children’s Museum is perfect especially on a rainy day. There are loads of hands on fun for kids of all ages including an enclosed section for babies and toddlers.

Some of the exhibits in the museum include the ‘imagination studio’ which is a kid-size art studio. Or perhaps your kids would prefer the ‘Discovery Bay’ this one is reserved for the littlies, and allows your kids to touch and feel. With real fish moving around in the aquarium they’ll have lots of fun.

Finally for those that need a little time out the ‘story telling circle’ is always loads of fun.

The Seattle Children’s Museum is located at 305 Harrison Street Seattle.

The Pacific Science Centerwill be a popular one for the older children, it has a planetarium, a tropical butterfly house and IMAX theatre plus there are loads of temporary exhibitions too, so if you’ve been before it will still be worth a second visit.

It’s located at 200 Second Avenue, N. Seattle 98109

The Seattle Art Museum is located at 1300 First Avenue, Seattle, 98101 and is a great visit for the whole family. It has some fun free areas especially for kids, including a fun craft area. I know my daughter who is especially crafty would love that.

Another great Seattle kids activity is one for those interested in all things aviation, why not check out The Museum of Flight. There are more than 85 of the world’s best spacecraft on display which is sure to catch the kid’s attention. You’ll find the museum at 9404 East Marginal Way, S. Seattle.

When thinking about Seattle Kids, think food, and not just meals but a bit of yummy fun. why not check out the Theo Chocolate Factory Tour. It’s located at 3400 Phinney Ave. N. Seattle. However note, reservations are recommended.

Not only is it fascinating to see inside the factory but the test tasting will certainly make it loads of fun.

If you love to visit aquariums, then you can’t go past The Seattle Aquarium, which is built on the pier. It’s located at Pier 59, 1483 Alaskan Way, Seattle. This aquarium has been located at this venue since 1977 and has exhibits that have been there since the opening along with some fantastic new exhibits. But one of the most popular at the aquarium is the Underwater Dome.

Finally, what about the theme parks? Whilst not all great vacations have to include a theme park visit, it’s hard not to stop by when you’ve got kids!

Seattle is home to some action packed theme parks including Fun Forest Amusement Park, located at 305 Harrison Street, Seattle and is open June through to Labor Day.

Ok so it’s no Disneyland but your family is sure to have fun with a 25 foot climbing wall, laser tag, bumper car and loads more.

So all that said Seattle is a serious contender for your next family vacation. Seattle Kids - there is something here for all ages.

If you’re planning a getaway to Seattle, why not book your Seattle accommodation now. Then sit down and plan your fun filled family vacations.
