Things to do in Oahu - Hawaii
Going to Oahu, Hawaii, check out our list of things to do in Oahu to get some inspiration for your next family vacation. Oahu Island is a bustling island full of action. You’ll find plenty to do on this great island. For most families though, a visit to Oahu Island is usually a planned beach vacation. The island of Oahu is where you’ll find cities such as Honolulu and Waikiki, as well as popular tourist destinations such as Pearl Harbor and the Polynesian Cultural Center. And for dads and their sports fanatic children there are plenty of great golf courses to visit and play. For families looking for more than just time at the beach, you could consider visiting the Sea Life Park, near Hanauma Bay, and whilst you’re there you’d be crazy not to stop at Hanauma Bay and check out the snorkeling.
If adventure is your style, Oahu Island offers plenty, head to the sky with a helicopter or glider tour, or if you want to stick to the water you could consider a kayaking tour. And whilst Oahu Island has a bustling city atmosphere you can escape it all and head toward the countryside and maybe even go on a horseback ride and appreciate the scenic views. If you’ve got access to a car we’d definitely recommend you consider taking at least a day out, if not a few to really capture the beauty of this island. With sites such as the Valley of the Temples and ample different beaches, there is definitely plenty here to keep you busy, allow you to relax and generally have a good wholesome family vacation.
