Phillip Island Australia is a wonderful little island approximately 1.5 hours drive south of Melbourne. It has a combination of natural beauties and man-made attractions, and as a result there is something to do here all year round.
This is a great getaway for families in Victoria and an ideal holiday destination for those looking for a beach holiday with a country atmosphere.
There are loads of intimate beaches to visit as well as a number of wildlife attractions. Probably the most popular of them all would be the Penguin Parade. People will drive from miles to see the penguins in their natural habitat.
There is also a great marine attraction too called The Nobbies, where you can go and see the dolphins, sharks and seals in action. And for international families you can't go past the Koala Conservation Centre.
All of these attractions are designed to bring you back to nature and allow you to experience the natural wonders of these beautiful animals.
However that said, all kids need a bit of action. There are a number of fun man-made attractions at Phillip Island Australia that will definitely take care of that. Check out A Maze ‘N Things, which will have them fascinated and questioning their own knowledge with a number of great scientific activities and displays.
The Fun Shed is another great place to stop off allowing the kids to burn some energy. This is best suited to families with younger children. It has a great indoor play centre including your typical tunnels, slides and a ball pit.
However The Fun Shed also includes a jumping castle, inflatable slide, cubby house and amusement machines in attempt to cater for the whole family.
For families that enjoy a thrill why not head to Phillip Island for one of its many national and international sporting events. They cover everything from V8 Supercars to Superbikes, sure to impress most males in the family and no doubt the occasional female.
There is loads of holiday accommodation in Phillip Island with the Island being tailored to tourism. Regardless of your budget you are sure to find something.
